Alpha Delta Pi began in 1851 as The Adelphean Society at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia. The women founded a sorority that has become more than a ritual or a symbol; for its members, it is a way of life. The University of Kentucky’s Beta Psi chapter was founded in 1941. Alpha Delta Pi Sorority continues to uphold the principles of scholarship, leadership, sisterhood, and service.

Alpha Delta Pi has initiated more than 235,000 women, in more than 155 collegiate chapters and over 150 Alumnae Associations internationally.
