About Ronald McDonald House Charities

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC), an independent non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation, creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. RMHC provides stability and vital resources to families so they can get and keep their children healthy and happy. Since 1979, Alpha Delta Pi has been committed to serving Ronald McDonald House Charities and has contributed $10 million to this effort. Alpha Delta Pi is the second largest donor to Ronald McDonald House Charities, only behind McDonalds. For more information about the organization, visit www.rmhc.org.

Amazon Wishlist fulfillment

RMHC of the Bluegrass relies considerably on the support of volunteers and donors. Rounding up on orders at McDonald’s, collecting pop tabs, and using smile.amazon.com to shop are all ways that we are helping from a distance during this pandemic. The house also has an Amazon wishlist where anyone can purchase and send daily necessities to the staff and residents.

Cooking at The Ronald McDonald house

One of Beta Psi's favorite ways to get involved with the Ronald McDonald House is to cook for them! Groups of our sisters volunteer weekly at RMH cooking dinners or baking cookies for the families that live there.

We are very fortunate to have a Ronald McDonald House Charities right on our campus. From the front steps of the Alpha Delta Pi house to RMHC, it is approximately one mile! We take advantage of its proximity whenever we can!

In February, our chapter hosts our annual Roses For Ronald event. On Valentines day, sisters sold roses outside of our chapter house to people on campus. Throughout the day we were able to raise over $1,000 dollars to directly support the RMHC of the Bluegrass.

‘Donut’ Wait To Stop Hazing

In the Fall of 2023, Alpha Delta Pi and Sigma Chi joined teams to launch a campaign for the Max Gruver Foundation to sponsor Hazing Prevention Week.

Both Sigma Chi and Alpha Delta Pi sold donuts, promoting “Donut Wait to Stop the Hazing.” Chapters throughout campus donated to the foundation, and we were able to raise over $700 for the cause.
