As a senior, I have had a lot of time to reflect on my time as an ADPi and what my “why ADPi” is. As a freshman, coming from a small town in Eastern Kentucky and not knowing anyone here, ADPi was able to give me a sense of belonging. It wasn’t until I was in a new member meeting towards the end of my first semester that I just happened to sit behind a girl that would later become my best friend.
She is one of the most hard working, compassionate, selfless, kind, genuine, funny and humble girls you will ever meet. She has a heart of gold.
Sheridan Forker is my “Why ADPi.”
She truly embodies everything that being an ADPi is and what every girl inspires to be. She will pick you up when you are down, she will put her problems aside to help you, and, most importantly, she takes the time to get to know you. I cannot wait to see how you continue to grow in this next season of life. Most importantly, I can’t wait to watch you give Elle Woods and Olivia Pope a run for their money!!
Every girl deserves a Sheridan, and I hope that ADPi will give you your own version of one!! Here is to everything pink, cozy PJ’s, NCIS at night, an eye mask to fall asleep, three finger combo with a large sweet tea from canes, the song “Push It,” and too many more memories!! Thank you, ADPi, for giving me a sense of belonging, and, most importantly, thank you for giving me my best friend.
