Dear Beta Psi,

There is something so indescribable about the feeling of being home. For me, it's the smell of the breeze blowing through golden fields in small town Ohio, the glint in my younger sister’s eyes after we spend hours laughing at something that probably isn't funny, and it is the overwhelming love and support that I feel from the incredible women of Alpha Delta Pi. It goes without saying that I am proud to be in an organization that is so amazing. I truly feel honored and blessed.

It is usually the big “aha!” moments that make a person realize the depth of their feelings for something, however for me, it is the little moments in between the big ones that have made the biggest impact. As a person who struggles to get out of bed on most days, when a sister reaches out to check in on me, it makes a world of a difference. Most people do not think twice about the impact of inviting someone to coffee, or asking how someone’s day was, but these things never go unnoticed in my book. The Alpha Delta Pi experience is a culmination of life changing epitomes punctuated by the sweetest little moments. It is an experience unlike any other, and every step is full of thoughtfulness.

When I reflect on the choices that I have made in my life leading up to where I am today, I am so glad that joining this sisterhood was one of them. I would not be the woman, the role model, the leader, the scholar or the friend that I am today without the people that I surround myself with. I am grateful everyday to have found a sisterhood that makes me feel so safe and loved, and I have a feeling that is not going to change anytime soon.

Love,

Savanna
