A Letter To My Future Maid of Honor
To Mia. My soulmate, my maid of honor, and my best friend. When I’m out in public without you, people tend to ask me where you are. When I met you I was still trying to find my place at Kentucky, knowing you have been here your whole life. I was actually nervous to ask you to hang out. I asked you to come with me to a football game, and it later ended as one of the best choices I could have made. We spent that entire afternoon laughing, starting the bond of a friendship that I know will last a lifetime. When I see my future, you are someone I see constantly. I think I spent more time with you freshman year than I did alone. I would never doubt for a second that you’re my best friend. I will forever cherish our dinner dates, sun tan city trips, blasting Frank Ocean until our vocal cords hurt, and planning our future weddings. Thank you for always being there for me no matter my flaws and imperfections. Thank you for listening to me even if what I’m saying doesn’t make sense. Lastly, thank you for being you. I am not me without you. I will continue to look for you in every room, every future, every lifetime.
